Persons credited with this course are able to manage conflicts and changes to requirements and ensure that all stakeholders and the project team remain in agreement on the solution scope. Anyone accredited with this course should also be able to ensure that changes to project work products are agreed upon by all stakeholders and documented accurately, maintain relationships between components to trace requirement changes and update relevant documentation, maintain requirements for re-use, prepare a requirements package, and communicate requirements and changes to all stakeholders.
In this course, the business case, solution scope and initial requirements documents are examined in order to organise and structure the requirements in a logical format. The business priority of each of the listed requirements is negotiated with stakeholders using various techniques.
Dependencies between requirements are identified and you will learn how it is communicated with all stakeholders in order to obtain agreement on the sequence and development of the requirements.
We will look at modelling techniques, and how to implement the techniques to communicate the understanding of the requirements to the various types of stakeholders.
And lastly, you will be able to identify various assumptions and constraints, in order to determine if they are actual constraints or requirements.
Therefore, the last part of this course will focus on verifying and validating requirements, and how to sign-off these requirements by all the stakeholders so that it can be used as a baseline for design an implementation of an appropriate solution.
