Implementation Options for IT Solutions

An information technology (IT) solution is a set of related software programs and/or services that are sold as a single package. This Unit Standard is intended for people that are working as part of a team that is developing or supporting Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems in a business environment.

In this course, one will be learning about the System constraints affecting implementation options as well as the examples of their effect. One will also learn about the reasons for selecting a computer system in order to reflect support for implementation options.

This course will also cover different computer system types as well as the applicability of different Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models. Lastly, one will learn about the implementation solutions for a specific context, underlining the factors affecting the implementation as well as their suitability for a given scenario.
