In this course, one will be looking at how to develop an understanding within an organisation with regards to the risks associated with its functioning and context. By this, one will be able to identify the organisation’s objectives and strategies, and the supporting core capabilities of the organisation. Once the objectives and strategies have been identified, a framework for structuring inquiry and communication about risk is developed and will only be completed once confirmed with management.
One will also identify the responsibilities for risk management and the policies or practices used to manage risk. Lastly, the level of integration between the organisation’s philosophies on risk and its risk management strategies are reviewed and assessed.
