The red ribbon is the universal symbol of awareness and support for people living with HIV. Wearing a ribbon is a great way to raise awareness on and during the run-up to World AIDS Day.

The South African National Aids Council further calls on employers to organise HIV testing services and host talks on HIV and Aids. This should encourage people to take responsibility for preventing the spread of HIV.
